The new Public Service Training Institute (PSTI) was commissioned on 23rd January, 2017 by the Ondo State Government to fill the much identified gaps in capacity building, Human Resource Management and the Competencies of the State Public Service in the South Western region and Nigeria as a whole. The Nigerian Public Sector (The Federal Civil Service, Parastatals and Agencies, Public Offices at the State and LGs and Uniformed Services Military, Police and Paramilitary), since inception has degenerated from one of the best and most meritorious services in Africa to one faced with significant challenges including poor human resource management, corruption, poor service delivery, poor levels of accountability and intergovernmental relations. Thus, the PSTI was established to tackle most of these challenges.

Our Vision, Mission and Core Values are the anchors upon which we base our daily undertakings, our programmes are geared towards developing the Human Resource potential and acumen in all our customers and to also explore all opportunity of partnership and collaborations that will be mutually beneficial to parties involved.

“As we journey along the path of effective service delivery, regular, self-paced training and retraining to enhance our capacity shall be carried out using latest technologies through the Public Service Training Institute (PSTI). E-governance shall be pursued vigorously while adequate work tools shall be provided to ensure that workflow is not distorted”
