  1. The Shepherd Boy and the Wolf:

    • A shepherd boy repeatedly cried “Wolf!” as a prank, causing villagers to rush to his aid. When a real wolf attacked, they ignored him, and the flock suffered.
    • Moral Lesson: Honesty matters, and false alarms erode trust.

  2. Chimanlal’s Unflinching Honesty:

    • Chimanlal, a poor man, found a wallet with a large sum of money. He returned it to the owner, who was stunned by his honesty.
    • Moral Lesson: Integrity is more valuable than material gain.

  3. The Woodcutter and the Axe:

    • A woodcutter lost his axe in a river. When the river spirit offered a golden and silver axe, he chose his own simple iron axe.
