In a bid to foster the growth and prosperity of Ondo State’s youth, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa recently unveiled the Public Service Training Institute (PSTI) Youth Empowerment Programme. The governor expressed his administration’s unwavering commitment to empowering the youth during the launch event held in Ilara-Mokin.
Emphasizing the role of youth as catalysts for socio-economic development, Governor Aiyedatiwa reiterated his administration’s dedication to fostering entrepreneurship and providing essential support for young individuals.
He highlighted initiatives undertaken in the past 100 days, including pension gratuity disbursement, grants for young entrepreneurs, and tech skills training for over 600 individuals.
Looking ahead, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa announced plans to establish new model technical schools in Ondo State and host the Global Entrepreneurship Festival later in the year to showcase youth talents and innovations.
Olumide Asere, the Director General of PSTI, stressed the importance of Nigerian youth preparing for a competitive future and highlighted the program’s focus on youth development and skill acquisition with support from the state government. Bayo Philips, Head of Service, urged youths to aspire to become job creators and emphasized the significance of hard work in achieving their goals.
